Perros Hiperactivos

To all puppies love to bite everything, play and run without stopping. All these games are own age. We should not worry , because, over time will reassuring .

The problem may occur when the dog , as an adult , follow the same type of behavior is not reassured with maturity.

In this case , perhaps , we are in presence of a hyperactive dog and we ourselves many questions and face the problem in the best way possible.

The first question that every owner should ask is why is that this type of behavior : boredom, get the attention of their masters , excitation by interaction with other dogs or neighbors or separation anxiety.

In some cases, the overactivity may result from breed itself and , therefore , it is predisposed to this type of character. As is the case of hunting or herding dogs .

In this situation, when the animal is in a state of hyperactivity , owners should stay away and ignore it , as this will help to calm down more easily.

When the dog is calm and dominate , we must reward him with some food , because , caresses and flattery could return it to its natural state of arousal.

An important reason for conflict , for a hyper dog , will be the possible threat of their possessions. Given this alarming situation , the logical reaction of the animal is to bark nonstop with the aim that the person or another animal desist from his intentions. To shut up and calm the dog had better remove the stimulus that caused the bark .

However, sometimes all of these methods will not be enough to calm the animal and will require other procedures such as extinction , punishment and annealing , to solve the problem.

  • Termination : This method is effective to end bad behavior , by removing the rewards. The dog will only be awarded when to stop barking and take considerable time laid back.
  • Punishment : This method must never yell or hit them much less because, all this will generate more anxiety than you already have. Punishments should be impersonal . For example , do not let him get away with it for the sake of barking non-stop and stand firm until you have calmed down and dominated .
  • Annealing : is a slow method will require a lot of patience on our part. Is to stop dog barking in the absence of the owner. We'll have to leave the room , leave the dog alone and timing how long it takes the animal to bark . The owner will wait seven or eight minutes to re- enter the room . Reward the dog , always with food, when it is not barking.
Hyperactive dogs , and barking insistently , can have destructive behaviors like chewing furniture, smashing the garden or scratching the walls. In all these cases , we proceed in the same way as in the previous cases , trying to control and soothe the dog's emotional state .

Most importantly, for education and control of such dogs is to give them the care and love they need. Properly deal of their leisure time , for example , enough time out on the street so they do not get bored and channel their energies to activities that help improve your mood .
