Cómo cuidar a nuestras mascotas en verano

Debido a la subida repentina de temperaturas, los termómetros se han disparado sin avisar, os recomendamos una serie de precauciones para que la vida de vuestros perros, durante el verano, sea más cómoda, fácil y fresca. 

1 Procurar que beban agua fría y que estén a la sombra en lugares frescos para que puedan soportar mejor las altas temperaturas. No dejarlos dentro del coche con las ventanillas cerradas, en el caso que no os quede más remedio, dejarlos dentro pero a la sombra y procurando que les entre aire. 

2 Los paseos debemos procurar que sean a las horas más frescas del día; por la mañana temprano o a última hora del día. Es importante que recordéis que el paseo tendrá que ser antes de que anochezca, ya que, por las noches salen los flebotomos, responsables de transmitirles la leishmaniosis. 

3 Es bueno que los refresquéis con duchas de vez en cuando, ya sabemos que con algunos perros la hora del baño no es tarea fácil, así que acudir a vuestras clínicas veterinarias para que o bien los bañen allí o que vuestro veterinarios os recomiende medidas para combatir las altas temperaturas.

5 Los principales peligros para nuestras mascotas en verano son los parásitos internos, como las pulgas, los flebotomos y las garrapatas. Además, en verano hay perros que tienen tendencia a coger cuerpos extraños, por ejemplo, que se les claven espigas en las orejas produciéndoles otitis. Es importantes que les reviséis con mas regularidad las orejas. 

6 Habrá signos que os avisarán en esta época del año que tenéis que llevar a vuestra mascota al veterinario: cansancio, tristeza, apatía, delgadez o cojera, entre otros.
